American School Multisport Courts

This project involved the design and construction of a premium outdoor athletic facility for the American School in Damascus. The expansive layout was engineered to host multiple physical education classes and sporting events simultaneously, featuring two full-size basketball courts and two dedicated volleyball courts.

Because the primary users are students, maximizing player safety and comfort was the highest priority. To achieve this, we installed a high-performance Cushioned Acrylic System:

• Rubber Undercarpet Base: A specialized shock-absorbing rubber mat was bonded to the subfloor before any paint was applied. This crucial layer provides excellent cushioning, reducing the impact on students' joints during running and jumping.
• Acrylic Topcoat: The rubber base was finished with multiple layers of premium, slip-resistant acrylic. This ensures a safe, reliable grip in various weather conditions while sealing the courts against UV damage and wear.
• Distinctive Color Zoning: The facility utilizes a vibrant, multi-colored layout (featuring red, green, and blue zones) to clearly define the different playing areas and court keys, making it easy for students and faculty to navigate multiple sports at once.
