Tishreen Sports Complex Courts

General Sports Federation

Project Narrative

Delivered for General Sports Federation with a focus on durable, tournament-ready facilities.

This major installation at the iconic Tishreen Sports Complex in Damascus involved the construction of multiple professional outdoor courts for both basketball and tennis.

To elevate the facility to premium international playing standards, a high-performance Cushioned Acrylic System was installed. This hybrid approach offers the durability of a hardcourt with the biomechanical benefits of an indoor floor:

  • Rubber Undercarpet: A specialized shock-absorbing rubber mat was laid down over the concrete/asphalt base. This significantly reduces impact on the athletes' lower back and knees during competitive play.
  • Acrylic Topcoat: The rubber was finished with multiple layers of high-grade, UV-resistant acrylic. This provides optimal traction, true ball bounce, and seals the court against harsh weather.
  • Precision Color Zoning: The facility features distinct, vibrant color blocking—including classic red/green for the basketball and tennis zones, and a modern two-tone blue for the dedicated professional tennis courts.
